Ernst Bormann

Dr.Ing. Ernst Bormann was a German World War I Luftstreitkrfte flying ace and a Generalmajor of the Luftwaffe during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. The Knights Cross of the Iron Cross and its higher grade Oak Leaves was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.

Ernst Bormann was born onNovember 1897 in Kirchbrak. He joined Reserve Infantry Regiment No. 82 onAugust 1915 as a cadet.
